Steel demand in the Indian market, despite the pessimistic forecasts of international rating agencies, continues a slight, but at the same time stable growth. So in November 2012, the increase in the demand for metal distribution in India amounted to 0.4% in relation to October, the Indian Ministry of Steel Industry said.
According to the data presented by the statistical service of the ministry, the need for the metal distribution in November increased to 5 million 650 thousand tons, and the demand for steel in India is growing steadily starting from April 2012 and added 4.2% to last year's indicator
Simultaneously with the increase in demand, Indian metallurgists reduce the production of metal products to ensure price growth. For example, in October 2012, they reduced the production of steel by 10.5% in relation to October last year.
