Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) reported yesterday (January 7) that its steel plant in Rourkele (RSP), located in the eastern state of Odisha, experienced a gas leak that killed four people.
4 workers worked for the maintenance contractor Star Construction. Several more workers were reportedly injured by the gas leak, but the official did not elaborate on the matter.
Odisha government officials said they would investigate the accident and determine the cause of the gas leak, as well as the violation of SAIL safety rules.
