USA retains duty on flat products from 6 countries

Following the final outcome of the Anti-Dumping Duties (AD) Accelerated Review, the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) found that the cancellation of the existing AD order for certain cold rolled flat products from Brazil, China, India, Japan, South Korea and the UK could lead to a continuation or a repetition of dumping from 7.60% to 265.79%.

The average margin set for Brazil was 35.43% and for China 265.79%. India, Japan and South Korea were assigned 7.60%, 71.35% and 28.42% respectively. The likely UK dumping margin was set at 25.17%.

The initial anti-dumping duty for these countries was published in July and September 2016, and its expiration date began on June 1, 2021.
