OMK has awarded Danieli an order for Danieli Automation Q3-MET, an MES system designed specifically for metallurgy, for a new seamless pipe complex to be commissioned in the coming months in Vyksa, Nizhny Novgorod Region, Russia.
The complex, supplied by Danieli and using FQT - Fine Quality Train technology, will produce 500,000 tonnes of OCTG products per year.
The activities planned to configure and install this production control software are in the final stages of completion. Testing of the suspected cases with the configured MES went smoothly and ended ahead of expectations.
The new MES will be linked to the already installed Danieli Automation for the production of pipes in Vyksa for the OMK Group.
