The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia said that Russia had already introduced a ban on the export of scrap alloys to unfriendly countries. Thus, the export of scrap alloys from Russia may be reduced by 90%.
The data showed that Russia has significant reserves of iron ore in the world, which in total are estimated at 100 billion tons. Meanwhile, Russia is also the second largest steel exporter in the world right after China.
In terms of nickel reserves, Russia owns 17.4 million tons of nickel, which is considered the largest figure in the world. The Russian Norilsk Nickel is one of the largest nickel suppliers in the world.
