Romania will again produce its own fittings

After acquiring COS Targoviste in March this year, AFV Beltrame Group, one of the largest producers of rolled steel and special steels in Europe, started using the new Donalam brand for recruitment and invested about 100 billion euros in equipment upgrades and 80% of the budget will go to the acquisition of new technologies to reduce carbon emissions.

After the operation of two steel mills in Calarasi and Targovishte, Romania will once again become the owner of a domestic rebar supplier.

In the first stage, the Donalam Targoviste plant will produce 10,000 tons of rebar every month. From 2023, rebar production will increase to 30,000 tons per month.

By 2024, the construction of this green plant is expected to be completed, and the production of rebar and wire rod at Donalam Targovishte will reach 700,000–800,000 tons per year.
