The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the regulation on the specifics of regulation of electricity imports in the autumn-winter period of 2022-2023 under martial law in Ukraine.
The rules establish that consumers using imported electricity should not limit their choice of electricity. At the same time, in order to prevent systemic accidents in the United Energy System of Ukraine due to Russian bombing, the supply of imported electricity to consumers may be stopped if special shutdown schedules are met.
Ukraine has already tested a small amount of electricity imports and is now planning to increase electricity imports to meet household demand.
