EU electricity prices generally rose in February

With the exception of Northern Europe and Germany, the average daily electricity price in most European markets exceeded 130 euros per MWh in February.

Among them, Spain's electricity price rose the most, with its average wholesale electricity price doubling as wind and hydropower production declined from the previous month, leading to an increase in natural gas use.

However, in general, due to a warm winter and a decrease in energy demand, UGS filling in EU countries is currently up to 57.5%, which is better than analysts expected.
