In April, crude steel production in China was about 92.64 million tons, down 1.5% year on year, according to China's National Bureau of Statistics.
In terms of provinces, Hebei has been the leading province in crude steel production with a volume of almost 20 million tons. The next provinces were Jiangsu (about 11.33 million tons), Shandong (about 6.37 million tons) and Liaoning (about 6.3 million tons).
In the first four months of this year, crude steel production in China amounted to 354.39 million tons, an increase of 4.1% compared to the same period last year.
