Deutsche Bank reduced the Nickel average price forecast by 2013 by 5.3%, to $ 17.75 thousand per ton, and by 2014-by 15%, to $ 17 thousand per ton. The forecast of zinc price for 2013 remained unchanged, but for 2014 it was reduced by 12%, to $ 2.22 thousand per ton.
According to Dow Jones, according to analysts, a change in the situation in the nickel cast iron industry caused a decrease in the marginal cost of production, while the rally of the price of zinc disappointed experts, given the relatively noticeable shortage of metal on the market.
It is also noted that Deutsche Bank experts expect a gradual reduction in zinc deficiency in the market amid the restoration of the production of refined zinc in China.
For note, the average forecast of the bank regarding the price of tin for 2013 was increased by 8.9%, to $ 22.875 thousand per ton, however, the metal price forecast for 2014 was maintained unchanged - at the level of $ 22.5 thousand per ton.
