The company has supplied more than 2,000 tons of steel structures for a facility that will produce high-voltage underwater power cables critical for offshore wind farms and grid connections.
Progress and volume of construction
The project is in full swing, and the installation of metal structures for the first of the four planned buildings is already underway. The steel structure is manufactured and installed by British subcontractor BHC, which also processes metal flooring, concrete flooring, cladding and bulging fire protection coatings before delivery to the site.
When completed, the plant, which is due to open in 2026, is expected to create around 330 jobs across the supply chain, significantly boosting the Scottish Highlands economy.
