In this case, last month, the country's crude steel production decreased by 39.4% compared to the previous month and by 57.3% year-on-year to 277,000 tons, while rolled steel production totaled 269,500 mt, down 29.6% month-on-month and 57.4% compared to the same month. last year.
Meanwhile, in the period from January to August 2026, 4.35 million tons of pig iron were produced in Ukraine, which is 14.8% less than in the same period last year, while crude steel production for the specified period amounted to 4.30 million tons, a decrease of 12.5%, and rolled steel production amounted to 3.59 million. tons, down 15.6% year-on-year basis.
