Here is how environmental issues are resolved in Italy: the mayor of the Italian Port Gorda Taranto, Mr. Ezio Stefano, appointed a city referendum on April 14, 2013, at which the fate of the Ilva steel plant will be decided. About this writes the publication AGI.
The initiative group of the townspeople "Taranto Futura" prepared three questions for the plebiscite: the first concerns the continuation of the missile plant in accordance with the government, and the other two suggest either the full closure of the plant or the partial closure of blast furnace production and the dismantling of the infantry.
The mayor of Taranto announced that the further fate of the ILVA fleet will be decided in the city referendum
