The production of steel in Ukraine in 2012 decreased by 6.9% to 32 million 900 thousand tons. This is reported by the World Association of manufacturers of steel WSA.
Steel smelting in December 2012 decreased by 9.7% compared to December 2011 and amounted to 2 million 532 thousand tons.
In 2012, the metallurgical plants of Ukraine produced 26 million 576 thousand tons of finished metal rolling, reducing this indicator by 6% relative to 2011. The amount of total rental decreased by 9% - to 28 million 950 thousand tons.
In 2012, Ukrainian metallurgists smelted 28 million 488 thousand tons, which is 1.3% less than in 2011. Moreover, in December 2012, the production of cast iron decreased by 1.9% relative to December 2011. Such data are contained in the report of the World Association of Manufacturers of Steel WSA.
