The Italian court did not remove the ILVA Metallon Commerce Metallon

Italian judges once again rejected the request of the owners of the ILVA metallurgical plant to remove the scrap and steel semi -finished products with a total of more than one billion euros seized as part of an investigation of the environmental case. Reuters writes about this.

The document issued by the court reports that he continued to arrest the entire metal supply of the ILVA missile system in order to use funds from its sale to clean the territory of the city of Taranto in which the plant is located.

Representatives of the private company Riva, who owns the ILVA metallurgical enterprise repeatedly stated that the court’s decision jeopardizes the future of steel production and will cause the chain of events that is unpleasant for the economy of Italy. Sending the next request to remove the arrest for the metal supply, the Riva group introduced the so -called decree of the former prime minister of Italy Mario Monty "On the salvation of Ilva", which allows the metallurgical plant to dispose of the arrested metal products.

This conflict led to the fact that, as we have already reported, the Italian prosecutor's office was forced to send an appeal to the Constitutional Court of Italy, to make a decision: what is more important, the decree of the Prime Minister, encouraged by the Senate or the decision of the Italian court? Consideration of this issue is scheduled for February 13, 2013.

Given the current situation, the newly formed cabinet of Italy ministers urgently began to prepare a new decree for ILVA, which provides for the sale of the arrested metal rolling, and the proceeds should be aimed at paying wages arrears and conducting urgent environmental events in Taranto.

Recall that the ILVA metallurgical plant is the largest employer in southern Italy (in the region with a high level of unemployment and the complete absence of industry), and today the number of employees in production has more than 20 thousand people.
