In July, compared with June, prices in the energy sector increased by 1.5 percent in the euro area and by 2.3 percent in the EU. Prices for capital goods increased by 0.1 percent in both areas, while prices for durable goods increased by 0.2 percent in the euro area and in the EU, month on month. In the same month, prices for non-mined goods remained stable in both areas, while prices for intermediate goods decreased by 0.2 percent in both areas, all month-on-month.
Among the Member States for which data is available, the largest monthly increase in industrial producers was recorded (+6,7%) (+5,7%). The decrease was observed in Estonia (-1.0%), Latvia (-0.7%) and Luxembourg (-0.4%).
In this month, compared to July 2024, prices in the energy sector decreased by 1.2 percent in the euro area and 1.1 percent in the EU. Prices for intermediate goods decreased by 0.3 percent in the euro area and 0.1 percent in the EU, while prices for durable goods increased by 1.7 percent in the euro area and 1.6 percent in the EU, all year-on-year. In the same month, prices for non-residential goods increased by 1.9 percent in the euro area and by 2.2 percent in the EU, year on year. Prices for capital goods increased by 1.8 percent in the European area and by 1.7 percent in the EU countries, year on year.
Among the Member States for which data are available, the largest annual increases were recorded in Bulgaria (+10.7%), Denmark (+4.5%) and Romania (+2.5%), while Estonia (-6,1%) (-6%) (-6%) (-6%) (-6%) (-6%) (-6%) (-6%) (-6%) (-6%) (-6%) (-6%) (-6%) (-6%) (-6%) (-6%) (-6%) and Romania (+2.5%), in whereas Estonia (-6,1%) (-6%) (-6%) (-6%) (-6%), A. (-3.6%) posted the largest decrease.
