In recent years, Ukrainian metallurgy has reduced the production of steel by 10 million 400 thousand tons per year, or 24.3%. About this writes the news agency the Ministry of Industry.
If in 2007 about 43 million tons of steel were melted in Ukraine, then in 2012, metallurgists barely reached its production to 32 million 400 thousand tons. Moreover, it was during this period that the largest mergers and acquisitions in the Ukrainian market were. Where did 25% of the production capacities of the metallurgy of Ukraine go? The journalist of the Ministry of Industry of Cur's Office tried to figure out this issue.
First, consider the structure of losses
Due to the peculiarities of the tax legislation of Ukraine, export supplies have always been considered and will be considered priority for the country's metallurgists, since no one dared to cancel the reimbursement of 20% of VAT abroad. Therefore, metallurgical companies suffered the largest losses in foreign markets. A decrease in export supplies of metal rolling over five years amounted to 5 million 800 thousand tons.
In this state of affairs, when about 75% of the metal products produced in Ukraine are exported, losses in sales in the domestic market of the country should not exceed 1 million 500 thousand tons. However, these losses amounted to twice as much as a number, about 3 million tons of production steel per year. Customs statistics indicate the complete indifference of Ukrainian metallurgists to the country's domestic market. Over the past few years, the amount of imported metal rolling sold on the domestic market of Ukraine has three times.
Secondly, we find out what was done
Nothing. The metallurgical plants of Ukraine, built before the 1917 revolution and updated for the last time under the Bolsheviks or during the German occupation, cannot boast of an outstanding technical and technological level of their main units. And this despite the fact that the state of capacities in the modern market is one of the main parameters of competitiveness.
No, you say, still ... Yes, Sergey Kukin writes, the most odious samples of morally obsolete metallurgical units, in the form of the same Martins, are taken out of year to year. These processes, by the way, form another, kind of "natural cause" of steelfish in the sector. The withdrawal of the named altens subtracted from the country's metallurgical potential over 2 million 500 thousand tons per year.
In return, really modern steeling equipment is rarely accepted into industrial operation. You can only recall that the start of the “Interpipe Steel” last fall with the simultaneous stop of the Martinovsky stoves at the Nizhnedneprovsk pipe factory, and the pre -crisis reconstruction of the Alchevskinsky missile plant.
At the final press conference in December 2012, the leadership of Ukrpromvnexpertiza
Over the five years of the global crisis, Ukrainian metallurgy lost 25% of steel production
