MMK named after Ilyich develops IT technologies

The Mariupol Metallurgical Plant named after Ilyich completed the second stage of the program for creating a modern data center (data center). The Metinvest group invested about 5 million UAH in this project. This was reported by the newspaper Ilyichevets.

Yesterday, on January 29, 2012, the grand opening of the Ilyich factory was held. New equipment will combine in one infrastructure facility all the information resources of the metallurgical plant, which will reduce the costs of technical support and further development of information technology.

The new data center is equipped with server equipment of advanced world manufacturers, guaranteeing non -failure work of computer equipment and data safety. Since yesterday, service service services have begun their work, data processing has been launched and available to users of the missile plant.

The next step will be further centralization of data flows and an increase in the productivity of server equipment. For the next two years, it is planned to carry out measures to increase the reliability of the uninterrupted nutrition of the center and the introduction of a modern system for restricting access to the premises of the center.

“To date, information systems are becoming a strategic resource for the enterprise, therefore high requirements are imposed on their functioning. Creating a single data processing center for centralized storage of large volumes of information was the best solution. Thanks to the input of the data center, it will be possible to prevent the risks associated with stopping the operation of information systems and ensure reliable data protection and the stability of the enterprise, ”said Yuriy -Zinchenko, General Director of the Ilyich MMK.
