Jindal Steel limited (JSL) put into operation a new domain furnace with a capacity of 5 million tons per year at its steel Angul plant in the framework of its expansion worth $ 2.56 billion, the company announced on Monday, September 29. The production capacity of the Angul steel plant doubled to 9 million tons per year. After the expansion program is completely completed, the plant is expected to reach 12 million tons per year, strengthening its role as one of the largest integrated steel enterprises in India.
