In January 2013, the Mariupol Metallurgical Plant named after Ilyich Group Metinvest increased the production of metal rolling by 1.3% to 356 thousand 700 tons, compared with January 2012.
In January 2013, the Ilyich MMC produced 436 thousand 200 tons of steel, which is 4.8% less than in January 2012 and reduced the production of cast iron by 14.5% to 366 thousand 700 tons, also in relation to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, the production of steel at the Ilyich plant exceeded the level of 26 thousand tons planned for January, and the production of cast iron did not reach the planned one by 20 thousand tons.
As reported, in 2012, the Ilyich MMK reduced the production of steel by 16%, and the cast iron smelting by 13%, both indicators compared to 2011.
