In Uzbekistan, one of the largest mining and metallurgical enterprises, OJSC Almalyksky GMC (AGMK), is working on the implementation of the modernization program, technical and technological re -equipment of production. The program is designed for the period until 2015.
AGMK in its composition has: 8 mining enterprises, 4 enrichment factories, 2 metallurgical plants, sulfuric acid production, repair and mechanical plants, transport management. The production of the plant is based on the raw materials reserves of the group of copper-porphyry, lead-cincial and gold-silver deposits.
OJSC "Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant" has already completed the expansion of the Kalmakyr mine, which has become the main raw material base for it. The next step is the construction of the crushing-converse complex at the Kalmakir deposit.
The intended involvement in the development of the Kairagach field is appropriate due to the proximity of the Angrenskaya gold and recovery factory and the AGMK medical and medical plant, since the costs of obtaining final products will significantly decrease. This year, the construction of a gold -containing mine on the basis of the current Kyzyl Alma deposit will begin, the capacity of which is 200 thousand tons of ore per year. The deepening of the existing barrel, the construction of the underground complex is planned to be performed before the end of 2015. In 2013, work on ore mining on the Uzun section of the Kochbulak mine will begin.
Financing was carried out at the expense of the loan of the Fund for the Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan and its own funds. To date, OJSC "Almalyksky GMC" is the only manufacturer of copper in Uzbekistan. The company has the right to develop deposits of copper-molibden and lead-cincial ores located in the territories of the Tashkent, Jizak, Namangan regions of Uzbekistan. The plant produces refined copper (cathodes), metal zinc, lead concentrate and other products. AGMK produces 90% of silver and 20% of gold in Uzbekistan, and finished products, in general, in the amount of $ 300 million a year.
