Its managers announced to foreign counterparties to increase 35 dollars/ton of price for hot -rolled steel in rolls, up to $ 675/ton. The Benxi Iron & Steel statement was a little more modest about increasing the selling price for the same products by only $ 20/ton.
Meanwhile, the interest of buyers in the products of Chinese meters in foreign markets is rapidly falling: prices were not accepted by foreign clients. However, according to the players, the missile defense systems retaining at this moment the “status quo” regarding the prices of metal rolling, after the end of the holidays, they will also follow the rate to increase.
China’s domestic market is stable today. The bar is sold at 660 - 685 dollars/ton. According to most experts, after the new year, domestic prices will begin to grow, pulling up after export.
Actual prices for today in China for strokes, rolls and sheets:
- Hot -rolled rolls, SS400 steel, thickness over 3 mm - 625-645 dollars/ton (Rizhao Steel - 625; Shagang Group - 645; Benxi Iron & Steel - 630; Beitai Steel - 630); );
- hot -rolled sheets, SS400 steel, thickness over 3 mm - Shagang Group - $ 635/ton;
- SAE 1006b bar (an analogue of the SPHC according to JIS G3131), the thickness of 2 mm - the Shaagang Group - $ 675/ton.
