The global demand for aluminum in 2013 will increase by 6% and amount to at least 50 million tons. It is reported by US Rusal - a Russian minister and manufacturer of "Winged Metal".
The company's analysts expect to increase demand in China by 9.5%, in India - by 6%, in the remaining Asian states - by 5.8%, in North America - 5%, in Russia and the CIS - by 4%. Meanwhile, the consumption of aluminum in the eurozone in 2013 will fall by 2% compared to 2012.
According to US Rusal experts, the fall in the European Union markets fully compensates for the serious increase in demand in developing countries and the USA, as a result of which the position in the global aluminum market will remain balanced.
The world prices for aluminum in 2013 will increase significantly, since the growing demand will not be a worthy offer from manufacturers. About one and a half million tons of “winged metal” in 2013, the world industry will not be counted in connection with the reduction and suspension of its production.
As we have already reported, in 2012, the global demand for aluminum increased by 6% and amounted to 47 million 400 thousand tons. Prices for this metal did not undergo significant changes due to the fall in consumption in the European Union.
Aluminum consumption in 2013 will grow by 6%
