In January 2013, the Ukrainian auto industry produced 790 units of passenger vehicles, compared with 4 thousand 299 cars in January 2012. This was reported by the press service "Ukravtoprom".
The car giant of the former Soviet Union "Zaporizhzhya Automobile Plant" (ZAZ) was able to produce only four cars for the whole of January 2013. The plant was idle without work until the end of last week.
According to Ukratovtoprom, the production of minivans at the Bogdan Corporation has sharply increased in Ukraine to 632 pieces, compared with 92 in December 2012.
The company "Eurocar" in January 2013 reduced the production of cars by almost ten times - up to 154 pieces, after 1 thousand 140 in December.
The automobile plant in the city of Kremenchug (Auto KrAZ) in January did not produce a single car.
As previously reported, the Ukrainian auto industry in 2012 reduced the production of vehicles by 27% compared to 2011, to 76 thousand 281 pieces.
