A meeting of ministers and trade unions at a round table specially convened for this, the highest level ended in the development of a number of proposals to increase the competitiveness of the European steel industry. This was reported in the publishing house of NEWEUROPE.
These proposals should be considered as soon as possible by the European Commission and include a package of measures in the field of trade, providing raw materials, changes in legislation, climatic payments, energy, employment and innovation.
In particular, among the proposals agreed on the highest level, the liberalization of the trade in the metal distribution and the development of effective measures to protect the domestic market became the European Union, as well as the examination of the industrial safety of the industry development project.
It was also decided to eliminate excessive administration by government officials, to create special funds to finance new developments and their implementation in metallurgical production, recommendations have been issued on long -term contracts for the supply of electricity and increase the share of renewable energy sources, and, finally, stimulate the metallurgical companies in Europe to invest all available means in the best available technologies production.
