In particular, he said: "The introduction of new tariffs should be considered as a strategic response to the actions of a company that does not respect the principles and traditions of the European Union." Mr. Monteburg added that Arselormital today is actively investing in the production of cheap steel in India and, undoubtedly, intends to fill it with all of Europe.
The press secretary of the largest international steel company answered literally the following: "Arselormital would like to make some amendments to the statement of Mr. Monteburgh. We make steel in Europe for our European customers and we will go further. The Arselormital company does not produce steel in India."
