MMK named after Ilyich suspended the production of galvanizing

The Mariupol Metallurgical Plant named after Ilyich suspended the production of galvanizing on the unit of continuous zincing No. 1 of the cold rental workshop.

The decision to stop the line was made in connection with the need to carry out repair work on the units of the Angz. In addition, the unfavorable situation, which has developed with orders for galvanized steel, also contributed to the decision to suspend the workshop.

According to operational data, the Angz No. 1 MMK named after Ilyich will not at least until the end of this month, and the decision to restore the line will be made on the basis of the market situation.

In February of this year, it is planned to make about 15 thousand tons of a galvanized sheet at the Ilyich's Komnomachnate, which is 14% less than last month. Of these, at the stopped Angz No. 1, they managed to produce less than 3 thousand tons of galvanizing, and about 13 thousand tons until the end of February are going to make Angz No. 2 on the continuing work. From the total volume of the manufactured galvanized steel, Ukrainian consumers will leave about 7 thousand tons, and the rest will be tried to sell for export.

In the current month, 340-345 thousand tons of metal rolling, which is 4% less than in January 3013, is planned to be produced at Ilyich MMK. Including on the camp "3000" it is planned to produce 130 thousand tons of thick sheet (-2%); Of these, 10-15 thousand tons will be sent to the domestic market, the rest is exported. It is planned to release 133-135 thousand tons of flat rental (-3%) on the 1700 camp. About 15 thousand tons of sheet steel will be sold on the domestic market, and the rest is sent to foreign markets.

The production of cold-rolled sheet metal rolling is scheduled for 22-23 thousand tons (-12% to the last month). Export of commodity slabs will be 34 thousand tons (-14%).

As we have already reported, in January 2013, 436 thousand tons were produced at the Ilyich Mariupol Metallurgical Plant, which is 6% higher than in December 2012. The production of the total metal rolling (finished rental and semi -finished products) increased by 11% and amounted to 357 thousand tons.
