Chelyabinsk metallurgists were attacked from space

Chelyabinsk Pipel Plant OJSC was attacked this morning an unidentified flying object. This was reported by the press center of the ChTPZ plant.

The factory began to eliminate the consequences of an explosion, which sounded at about 9:20 local time and caused by a natural phenomenon, presumably the passage of a meteorite through the atmosphere.

There are no serious injuries and greatly injured at the factory. Glazing is damaged in a number of rooms of workshops and factory management.

Energy, infrastructure in working condition, all life support systems function in normal mode. Some of the workshops operate in the standard mode, in others an unscheduled inspection of technological equipment is carried out.

A working group was created at the factory. Currently, measures are being taken to restore damage to workshops and offices.



It was not the only explosion. The second thundered about 80 kilometers from the city of Satka, in a mountainous area. This area is located on the territory of the Ural Range. Groups of search engines are directed to the indicated point, but their advancement is difficult due to impassable area.

According to preliminary data from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Chelyabinsk region, as a result of the explosions that occurred during the span of space fragments through the atmosphere, more than 100 people living in different areas of the Southern Urals were injured. Basically, people received cuts from knocked out glasses or bruises from fragments of building structures.

The meeting of the planet with a celestial body will happen on Friday at 23:25 in Moscow. According to researchers, an asteroid will approach the ground at a distance of about 27 thousand km. “This is the closest distance that such a large asteroid has ever approached the Earth,” NASA said. Its diameter is 46 meters, the mass is 130 thousand tons, and the speed of movement is 28.1 thousand km/h.
