This is evidenced by the financial report published on Tuesday by the company.
The company's sales fell by 7.28% to 9 billion 570 million lires ($ 5.39 billion), while Erdemir operated profit decreased by 60.4% to 682 million 670 thousand lires.
The production of steel on two controlled companies in 2012 changed multidirectional: it decreased by 4% to 3 million 230 thousand tons due to a stop for the reconstruction of the blast furnace No. 2 of the Eregli Erdemir factory and increased by 12.9% at the Iskanderun factory - to 4 million 630 thousand tons.
In 2012, Erdemir estimates the volume of investments in metallurgical production at 163 million 130 thousand dollars.
