“Mechel practically closed their activities not only in Romania, but also in twelve other countries. Our country, obviously, is also affected by these negative phenomena and we are going to do everything in our power, in order to support the new investor ready to save the factories belonging to the Mechel group, ”Victor Pontent said in a club-napoca, the city in the northwest of Bucharest.

Pontus also stated that the Romanian state has nothing to do with the price of the sale of swordsman assets, as you know, 230 lei (less than 70 US dollars). “Mechel is a private company that has every right to sell factories for at least two billion, at least for two lei. This has nothing to do with our state. In fact, the latest decisions of the company related to factories in Romania and in other European countries were adopted against the backdrop of reorganization, to which Romania has no concern at all and cannot in no way control the Russian company, ”the Prime Minister emphasized.
