A mobile laboratory of quality control of urban air will work in Mariupol

Yesterday, in the Mariupol city garden, officials of the city executive committee demonstrated to residents a brand new automated mobile laboratory for air monitoring worth 2 million 200 thousand hryvnias.

According to the head of the Mariupol Hydrometeorological Observatory of Tamara Ventsova, the first air measurements will be taken about a month later, which will be required to train personnel and prepare the necessary documents. Until this moment, the car will be in the garage, added the head of the civil defense and protection department, Vladimir Vinogradov.

The new mobile environmental laboratory is mounted by the Ford car and includes two separate monitoring systems of surrounding air: "Skat" and "Fort". The first system continuously measures the concentrations of carbon and nitrogen oxide, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur and carbon, the presence of dangerous ammonia and hydrogen sulfide vapors in the air. The second - will automatically measure the concentration of formaldehyde in the outboard air and is a motorized block equipped with a vacuum compressor.



The mobile laboratory will work on the call and on a pre -agreed route. As Tamara Ventsova said, "we will direct the laboratory to where it will be required - where will the complaints of the city’s residents come from."

The crew of four people will serve the new mobile Mariupol laboratory.

As you know, there is a similar eco -laboratory in the city of Odessa and has been successfully working there for several years.
