Europe needs Ukrainian pipes

The European Commission announced the closure of the anti -dumping investigation regarding the supply of steel pipes to the European Union and Ukraine, Turkey and Macedonia, initiated in March last year by metallurgical enterprises of the EU.

The reason for the termination of office work was the review of the complaint, which was officially executed on February 23, 2013 by European metallurgical companies. In accordance with the Charter, the European Commission terminated the anti -dumping investigation of imports of steel pipes from the above countries. The decision of the European Commission was issued in the official journal of the European Union and published on the website of the European Commission on February 14 this year.

As we have already reported, in March 2012, the European Commission began an anti -dumping investigation of imports of welded pipes from Ukraine, Turkey and Macedonia.

The complaint was filed on February 16 last year by European manufacturers, which account for more than 25% of the total production of welded pipes from iron (except cast iron) and steel (except stainless steel) of the European Union.

Even earlier, in November 2008, the European Commission excited, and in September 2009 stopped an anti -dumping investigation of import and rectangular welded pipes from Belarus, Turkey and Ukraine.

In 2001, the European Commission initiated an anti -dumping investigation against supplies from Ukraine welded pipes and then set anti -dumping duties for export to the EU of this product in the amount of 30.9% for the Novomoskovsky Pipe Plant and 44.1% for other Ukrainian plants.
