Peruvian steelmaker, Corporacion Aceros Arequipa, reported net income of PEN 56 million ($16.7 million) for the fourth quarter of 2025, compared to PEN 49 million in the fourth quarter of 2024.
Net sales rose 4.11 percent to PEN 1.206 billion, gross profit decreased 2.13 percent to PEN. 152 million and operating profit decreased by 17.75 percent to PEN 76 million.
According to the company, the higher net profit reflects mainly the profits of subsidiaries, PEN 15.9 million in Q4 2025, compared to a loss of PEN 6.1 million in Q4 2024.
When looking at the full year B In 2025 and 2024, Aceros Arequipa's net income increased by 51 percent to PEN 296 million.
During the year, the company completed the acquisition of two scrap metal yards in Florida, USA, including a separator, crusher and additional equipment. These actions are consistent with a vertical integration strategy aimed at ensuring constant access to raw materials.
