Ukraine's Zaporizhstal announced a decrease in iron and steel production in January 2026

The Ukrainian Metallurgical Plant Zaporizhstal, owned by Metinvest, announced its production results for January this year.

Accordingly, in January, Zaporizhstal produced 249,900 tons of pig iron, 234,400 tons of raw steel and 215,700 tons of finished steel, decreasing by 13.1 percent and 3.5 percent and increasing by 0.3 percent year-on-year, respectively.

In 2025, Zaporizhstal produced 3.57 million tons of pig iron, 3.21 million tons of raw steel and 2.79 million tons of finished products.
