U.S. exports of hot-dip galvanized sheet and strip (HDG) totaled 119,740 tons in October this year, up 14.4 percent month-on-month and down 1.2 percent year-on-year, according to U.S. Department of Commerce export data. In value terms, HDG exports totaled $174.2 million in October this year, up from $154.9 million in the previous month and $170.0 million in the same month in 2024.
The US shipped the most HDG to Mexico in October, with 60,299 tons, up from 55,317 tons in September and 73,172 tons in October 2024. Canada follows with 58,860 tonnes. There were no other important HDG export destinations from the USA (1000 tons or more) in October
