At the end of January (January 21-31) of this year, the average price in China of HRB 400E 20 mm rebar decreased by 23 yuan/mt ($3.3/mt) or 0.7 percent to 3179.5 yuan/mt ($456/mt) compared with the price in mid-January (January 11-20), as announced by the National Bureau of Statistics of China.
During this period, the average prices for wire rod, rolled steel, hot-rolled steel (HRC), seamless steel pipes and corners decreased by 0.8 percent, 0.3 percent, 0.4 percent, 0.1 percent and 0.6 percent, respectively, compared with the middle of January.
