Accordingly, in the fourth quarter of last year, Mechel produced 838,000 tons of steel, which is 6.9 percent more than in the third quarter, and pig iron production increased by 3.8 percent compared to the previous quarter to 716 000 tons. The company's production of raw coal amounted to 2.34 million tons, which is 82.3% more than in the previous quarter. Meanwhile, the company produced 3.29 million tons of steel in 2025, down 1.7 percent from the previous year, while iron production fell 3.9 percent year on year to 2.87 million tons. The company's raw coal production in 2025 was 7.28 million tons, down 32.9% year-on-year.
In the fourth quarter of this year, sales of Mechel's coking coal concentrate decreased by 43.9 percent compared to the previous quarter to 419,000 tons, and sales to third parties decreased by 48.6 percent compared to the previous quarter to 151 000 тонн за данный период.
