Iranian Mobarakeh Steel confirms complete shutdown after second US-Israeli strike

Иранская компания Mobarakeh Steel подтверждает полную остановку после второго американо-израильского удара

Iran's largest steel producer Mobarakeh Steel Company announced that all operations at its Isfahan complex have been suspended following a second US-Israeli strike that caused severe damage to production facilities, according to Iranian media.

Mobarakeh Steel Company said that "continuation of operations is not possible," adding that the extent of the damage and the "fundamental destruction" of production units led to a complete shutdown.

Production lines are complete. shutdown, staff ordered to stay at home

According to Mobarakeh Steel Company, the high intensity of the attacks caused significant structural damage to its facilities, effectively shutting down all operational lines. The company also announced that employees have been told not to return to the plant until further notice, emphasizing the need to protect "human capital as the most important asset of the organization."

Restart timelines vary depending on the manufacturer

According to Mehram Ravanbakhsh, general manager of industry for Khuzestan Steel Company and Foolad Atieh in the Gulf, plans for the restart are currently being developed and are expected to be finalized in a short time. Meanwhile, Mehran Pakbin, deputy head of production at Iran's Khuzestan Steel Company, said restarting affected plants could take six months to one year, according to initial estimates.

Some factories in the region hit by strikes could begin a gradual return to work as early as next week. However, the extent of damage in Mobarak and Khuzestan suggests that the recovery period will be longer compared to other sites.
