The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) has released the preliminary results of its administrative review of the anti-dumping duty ruling on hot-rolled steel products from Japan for the review period from October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024.
DOC has tentatively determined that Japanese exporters sold these products at below normal prices during the review period. The DOC has tentatively determined the weighted average dumping margin to be 13.07 percent for Nippon Steel, Nippon Steel Nisshin Co., Ltd., Nippon Steel Trading Corporation, JFE Steel Corporation, JFE Shoji Trade Corporation, JFE Shoji Corporation, Honda Trading Corporation, Marubeni-Itochu Steel Inc, Tetsusho Kayaba Corporation and Toyo Corporation, while the zero dumping margin determined for Tokyo Steel Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
DOC also canceled this review, particularly with respect to JFE Shoji Trade America, since local manufacturers withdrew their request in a timely manner.
The final results of the review will be published within 120 days from the publication of these preliminary results.
