According to the Argentine Vehicle Manufacturers Association (ADEFA), Argentina produced 41,716 units (passenger cars and light commercial vehicles) in March, up 40.8 percent from the 29,632 units produced in February.
Exports increased 66.6 percent to 26,646 units, while domestic sales increased 14.2 percent to 41,453 units. of which only 11,638 units were produced in Argentina.
Compared to March 2025, production increased by 0.4 percent, exports increased by 9.7 percent and domestic sales decreased by 13.5 percent.
“We completed the first quarter, which reflects progress compared to the trends shown at the beginning of the year,” said Rodrigo Pérez Graziano, President of ADEFA. “Activity showed signs of recovery in March, with production reaching 41,716 units and month-on-month growth of 40.8 percent.” He continued. “However, the final figures for the quarter (92,346 units) place us 19 percent below the same period in 2025, indicating that to consolidate the upward trend and convert the recovery into sustainable growth, continuing to work on our competitiveness program is key.”
Graziano added that the sector is working with the entire value chain to reduce structural costs, streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
