Indian steelmaker Tata Steel limited has partnered with Google Cloud to enhance the autonomous capabilities of its global operations using agent-based artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the two companies said in a joint statement on Wednesday, April 22.
In just nine months, more than 300 dedicated AI agents have been deployed, improving the efficiency and accuracy of Tata Steel's operations, it said in a statement.
“Working with Google Cloud has enabled us to transform AI from a technical experiment to a specialized partner for every employee,” Tata Steel Chief Information Officer (CIO) Jayanta Banerjee said in a statement.
This collaboration not only introduces new tools, but also helps create an execution engine, empowering employees to respond quickly to the learnings, he said.
Digital transformation is driven by two platforms: “Zen AI”, facilitating the development of low-code artificial intelligence agents non-expert employees and the Tata Steel Digital Assistant (TDA), which centralizes various data streams.
