Imports of cold-rolled rolled products to Turkey decreased by 7.9 percent in January-March 2026, South Korea remains the largest supplier.

In March of this year, imports of cold-rolled rolled products to Turkey totaled 102,866 metric tons, up 75.4 percent from February and 59.3 percent year-on-year, according to preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the value of these imports amounted to $68.82 million, an increase of 60.8% compared to the previous month and 47.6% year-on-year.

In the period from January to March, imports of cold-rolled rolled products to Turkey amounted to 231,075 tons, which is 7.9 percent less, while the value of these imports decreased by 8.4 percent to $161.33 million, year-on-year.

During the specified period, South Korea was the largest source of imports of cold-rolled rolled products to Turkey, which supplied 98,474 tons, which is 12.0 percent more than last year. South Korea is followed by Russia with 47,929 tons, down 2.3 percent from last year, and China with 31,730 tons, down 28.4 percent from the same period.

Between January and March 2025, the largest sources of cold-rolled flat steel imports to Turkey were mainly South Korea, Russia, China, Belgium and France, while the top three positions remained unchanged in the same period in 2026. South Korea maintained its position as the largest supplier, increasing by 12 percent year-on-year to 98,474 tons, while imports from Russia decreased by 2.3 percent to 47,929 tons, and the country remained in second place.
