Indian engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) company SEPC limited has won a contract worth approximately $71.13 million for the IISCO Steel Authority of India limited (SAIL) steel plant expansion project, the company said in a statement issued on Tuesday, June 16.
The contract package is for the construction of a coke plant and a sinter plant at the IISCO steel plant, which are part of the latter's 4.08 million tonne expansion project.
The coke oven balance package, designated COB-3, excludes civil and civil works, while the sinter plant package, designated SP-2, includes civil and civil works, the statement said. Both projects are scheduled to be completed within 30-33 months.
SEPC is an EPC contractor with operations covering industrial infrastructure, process plants, and water and wastewater management.
