According to preliminary data cvworld.cn , a Chinese provider of information services for the automotive industry, between January and June of this year, sales of heavy trucks (including chassis and tractors) in China totaled 660,000 units, up 22.0 percent from last year.
In June alone, heavy truck sales in China totaled 115,000 units, up 5.0 percent from last month. The month increased by 18.0 percent year-on-year, with year-on-year growth slowing compared to the growth recorded in March, April and May, although sales volume still remained at its highest historical level for June.
Sales of new energy heavy trucks increased by 67.6 percent year-on-year from January to May, contributing to a significant increase in heavy truck sales in China.
Meanwhile, it is estimated that heavy truck exports increased by about 35 percent in June, which had a positive impact on overall heavy truck sales in China.
