In the first half of this year, Japanese shipbuilders received new export orders for 111 ships with a total displacement of 5.01 million gross tons, which is 0.3 percent less than last year.
On the other hand, Japan exported 10 ships with a total displacement of 578,559 gross tons in June, compared with 17 ships with a total displacement of 614,143 gross tons registered in May.
In the period from January to June of this year, Japan exported 104 vessels with a total displacement of 4.72 million gross tons, an increase of 2.3 percent year-on-year.
