In January-June this year, the value-added industrial output of the ferrous metal smelting and rolling sector in China increased by 2.1 percent year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on June 16.
In the first six months, China's total industrial output increased by 5.4 percent year on year.
During the period From January to June, value-added industrial output in the mining and manufacturing sectors grew by 3.6 percent and 5.6 percent year-on-year, respectively.
In June alone, value-added industrial output in China's ferrous smelting and rolling sector posted a year-on-year increase of 3.3 percent, while value-added industrial output in mining and manufacturing sectors fell 2.2 percent year-on-year and grew 6.0 percent year-on-year, respectively.
China's total industrial output increased 5.3 percent year-on-year in June.
