New car sales in Canada decreased by 0.2% in June%

According to Statistics Canada, 190,167 new cars were sold in the country in June 2026. This is 0.2% less than in May, but 7.3% more than a year earlier. In monetary terms, car sales in Canada totaled $10.69 billion in June, compared with $10.89 billion in May and $9.80 billion in June 2025.

Sales of North American-made vehicles in Canada in June reached 119,644 units worth $7.03 billion, while sales of vehicles manufactured abroad totaled 70,523 units worth $3.66 billion.
