US imports of cold-rolled coil (CRC) totaled 67,761 metric tons in August 2026, up 21.3% from July and 3.5% from August 2025, according to preliminary census data released by the US Department of Commerce.
The value of imports was $58.6 million, compared with $51.1 million a month earlier and $63 million a year earlier. Vietnam was the largest supplier in August, shipping 13,081 metric tons. It was followed by Turkey with 12,643 metric tons, Canada with 10,557, the Netherlands with 8,884 and Taiwan with 5,422. Vietnam supplied 17,247 metric tons in July and 5,588 in August 2025.
