The Ukrainian metallurgical company Interpipe reports that the Shell oil production corporation is satisfied with the quality of its products. Interpipe Steel is already pre-advisable as a steel workpiece for the production of casing and pumping pipes, and the Nikopol Pipe Plant (Interpipe NTZ (NTZ)) and the Dnipropetrovsk Pipe Plant (Interpipus Nico Tyub) are in the stage of confirmation of compliance with Shell standards. This was reported by the press service of the Interpract.
"Cooperation with Shell obliges suppliers to comply with the highest quality standards in the pipeline industry. And I am glad to report that Interpipe plants have successfully passed the preliminary qualification of Shell," the director of the strategy and development of the Ukrainian company Denis Morozov said.
Shell also preceded the Novomoskovsk Pipe Plant (Interpipe NTMZ) as a manufacturer of steel pipes for transporting oil and gas.
Interpipe continues to work on the creation of a new type of pipes with premium formations in order to meet Shell requirements to work in difficult geological conditions.
The representative of Shell Robin Norton noted that his corporation continues to cooperate with the interpip as part of the Memorandum of Understanding in 2012, the key purpose of which is to bring the interpipes to the standards of Shell.
“We continue to work with interpipes in other areas to qualify a wider range of pipe products for using SELL both in Ukraine and around the world,” said Robin Neuton.
Recall that the lack of qualifications of Ukrainian pipes is the main reason why Shell does not purchase them from the interpip, and recently acquired such products of the Japanese manufacturer Sumitomo.
Shell trusts interpipe as a supplier and manufacturer of steel pipes, but does not intend to buy his products yet
