According to the report of the International Statistical Bureau of metals and alloys of the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS), an excess supply of Nickel in the world markets for January - August 2013 amounted to 108 thousand tons. In total, from the beginning of the year, 1 million 272 thousand tons of this metal were received, and consumers bought 1 million 164.
The remaining metals, according to WBMS, are as of September 1, 2013 in a shortage. So the shortage of tin on the market is estimated by experts of one and a half thousand tons, lead - 248 thousand tons. Demand for lead grew by 400 thousand tons to the APPG-2012 to 7 million 140 thousand tons, while about 42 percent of its consumption was on China (3 million tons, or plus 111 thousand tons to the APPG-2012). Due to the growth of the DPRK economy, an increase in copper deficiency is noted.
Meanwhile, in China there was a decline in interest in tin by 4.6 percent, in Japan his consumption remained at last year's level.
The production of lead in January-August 2013 decreased by 9.6 percent in relation to the APPG-2012 and amounted to 3 million 100 thousand tons. The reduction in Canada and Poland was especially noticeable.
